How Can We Never Worry About Equality Again.

Feminism, Girlpower

I might not be your typical feminist and I don't expect everyone to accept my own belief.

According to a feminism newsgroup at http://www.landfield.com/faqs/feminism/, feminism is grouped into four categories, please check this site for the definition of each.

Liberal feminism

Radical feminism

Marxist and socialist feminism

Cultural feminism

Eco-feminism

So anyone could be a feminist but just on a different spectrum, as long as you believe that women should have equal opportunity in the area of growth, job, political positions, name it - equality in the social, economic, and political areas. Feminism largely arose in response to western traditions that restricted the rights of women.

However, I support that, there are some roles and responsibilities that are geared towards women, especially at home.

In some countries, some women had to accept non-stop infidelities, struggle- love even second class citizenship in their own home. Most time silencing, to live the belief that ‘what will people say’. Trauma bonds, a lack of resources and traditions kept many of these women with their husbands.

However, things are changing. I admire the fact, that in these same countries, the millennials are having the audacity to work out of the marriage because they have the resources to care for themselves and their self-worth is way more important than what society is expectant of them.

So yes even if feminism is sometimes associated with strong and forceful women, it has bought about some changes that keep benefiting all women.

So the take-home today will be -Let's raise boys and girls, right and we will never have to worry about equality again.
